Presenting Look Incorporated’s data analysis division LooK!

LooK! gained significant experience providing software solutions for the Automobile and Financial industries. The Healthcare industry will leverage this knowledge.

In the early days when the Auto companies realized that passenger car vehicles needed be constructed with increase crash protection for occupants, they went to the Aerospace industry to use the technology developed by the NASA and Boeing.

The thinking was, why reinvent-the-wheel. Thus, today we have safer automobiles.

The answer is Interoperability.

Interoperability is the ability of two or more computer systems to exchange information and have the content of that information automatically interpreted by the receiving system accurately enough to produce useful results, as defined by the end users of both systems.

The same thinking can be applied for the massive job ahead for the Healthcare Industry. The Auto and Financial companies invested heavily in Interoperability. This software technology launches the Healthcare industry many years ahead in the quest to connect Healthcare industry data.

Hospitals and Healthcare systems across the country are shedding workers or implementing hiring freezes as their budgets get tightened.

It is precisely during these times that they should deploy Healthcare IT throughout their enterprise so patient safety and quality of care are not impacted.

LooK! Customer Experience:

  1. Ford Motor Co. challenge was the communication of automobile parts data to disparate systems. Ford owns Volvo automobile company. Ford's parts system, also known as, Worldwide Engineering Release System needed to communicate data about common parts that could be shared between the two auto companies. Ford foresaw that there was significant saving to be had. LooK! architected a system using a design based on the IGES standard data exchange and web services. IGES AP214 standard defines means for exchanging automobile type of a data.
  2. Chrysler Corporation challenge was the presentation vehicles that are available for purchase. A customer accesses a 54 inch computer display screen, builds a vehicle to his own specification and the system searches the dealer's stock that best fits the desires of the customer. This requires multiple sources of data. Especially with regard to comparing to competitive vehicles. LooK! provided solution design that allowed communication between all disparate systems.
  3. Flagstar Bank challenge was lowering our cost and increase accuracy when communicating with Financial Systems. LooK! provided web service applications that implemented MISMO standard. MISMO is an industry standard for exchanging data between Mortgage Banks and Mortgage wholesale and retail companies.

Interoperability is the solution. Ford data needed to 'talk' to Volvo data. Chrysler dealership salespersons needed to 'talk' to internal and third party company's data. Flagstar Bank needed to talk to Government Sponsored Enterprises, like Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac.

Healthcare industry can leverage LooK! existing technology to improve information systems management in health care institutions.

LooK! solutions provide operations efficiency, reduce risk, and achieve quality through the industry's most comprehensive data resource analytics obtained from its science and engineering experience.
